Nantes winger Christian Wilhelmsson is still a target for Tottenham manager Martin Jol, according to the player's agent.
The Swedish midfielder joined the French outfit in 2006 but spent last season on loan at Italian giants Roma, helping the Giallorossi to second place in Serie A, victory in the Coppa Italia and the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Nantes suffered relegation from Le Championnat last term so the 28-year-old will not be going back to the club, but his future has yet to be sorted out.
Roma would like to retain his services after an impressive first season in the Eternal City but will face stiff competition to land the player, with a number of clubs including Spurs vying for his signature.
His agent Mino Raiola told The Sun: "There could be an extension to the loan but there have been several clubs who have shown a real interest.
"One of those clubs is Tottenham. Roma want to keep him but the final decision is for Nantes."
