Loan star Michael Leary has confirmed he would consider a permanent move to Walsall in the summer.

Leary has impressed after arriving at the club from Luton and with his future with the Hatters shrouded in doubt as he is due to fall out of contract, the midfielder has not ruled out the possibility of returning.

"I would be interested in signing longer-term," he said. "This is a good club with a great bunch of lads and I think we have been unfortunate to go down. We've had no luck at all in the last few weeks of the season.

"Despite the disappointment of relegation I've enjoyed it here and gained some valuable experience. But I've got to find out what's happening at Luton first. I'll go back and talk to Mike Newell to see what he is thinking."
