New boss Richard Money says he is looking to sign new strikers and also wants his existing players to be fitter for next season.

Money has ordered the squad to return to training at The Bescot four weeks earlier than planned, to begin preparation for the new season as the club bids for a return to League One. The Walsall manager says he wants to improve fitness levels, enhance team spirit and increase the club's overall level of stability.

At the same time, he is targeting a new strike force and has revealed continued interest in Championship and League players including, ex Colchester star Tony Thorpe, Alun Armstrong from Doncaster and Andy Morrell who has been released by Coventry City.

Money has not ruled out using his international connections to assist in bringing in new talent from overseas.
