Watford defender Carl Dickinson was glad to be back in the team against Southampton, but his return was tarnished by a defeat.
The former Stoke left-back has found himself on the bench for the previous six games but was recalled to the side to face the south coast high-flyers, who claimed a 3-0 victory.
"On a personal level, it's great to be back in the team, but it was a frustrating afternoon," Dickinson told the club's official website. "Two mistakes and a penalty, which I didn't think was a foul, have cost us."
The Hornets were brushed aside by Nigel Adkins' side, but Dickinson has vowed that he and his team-mates will be working hard this week to rectify the past two defeats.
"Southampton didn't have a lot of chances but they capitalised on our mistakes - we need to stop that and get ready for next week. We'll come into training on Monday, make sure we prepare properly all week and go again to face Burnley. We'll dust ourselves down and get ready for next week."
