Aidy Boothroyd is confident that Watford can win the play-offs despite Darius Henderson being banned for the first leg with Hull City.

The Hornets striker was red-carded during the climax to the Championship season when they secured a 1-1 draw at Blackpool which clinched them the sixth and final play-off place on goal difference ahead of Wolves. As a result he will serve a one-game suspension when they face Hull in Sunday's opening play-off encounter at Vicarage Road.

Despite that Boothroyd was relieved that his Watford side scraped into the play-offs and he is confident they can now go on and secure an instant return to the Premier League.

"We never say die and we're going to fight right till the end and anything can happen now," he said.

"We've stuttered, we've limped and we're in. Form goes out of the window in play-offs."

"It's about making sure you hold your nerve and do the job."
