Wolves are tipped to rival Reading for Watford striker Tommy Smith this summer.

Royals boss Brendan Rodgers knows Smith from his brief spell as manager at Vicarage Road last season and needs a replacement for Republic of Ireland star Doyle.

Bolton, Fulham and Sunderland are all tracking Doyle as well which makes his £6.5m departure from the Madejski Stadium inevitable so Rodgers needs to move into the transfer market.

And he will reportedly look to land Smith for £750,000 following his 17 goals last term.
