Watford could hand debuts to Martin Taylor, Will Buckley and Stephen McGinn in Saturday's clash against Swansea at Vicarage Road.

Hornets boss Malky Mackay swooped to sign 30-year-old defender Taylor on a free transfer from Birmingham after the player spent six years at St Andrews. The former Blackburn man, who was due to fall out of contract with the Blues in the summer, has signed a deal to keep him with the Hornets until 2012.

Taylor could be pitched straight in to face the Swans along with Buckley, who arrived from League Two leaders Rochdale for an undisclosed fee and McGinn, the recent signing from St Mirren who was an unused substitute at Blackpool last week.

Scott Severin remains the only injury doubt with a groin problem, while teenage defender Rob Kiernan has linked up with Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock for a trial.
