West Brom manager Alan Irvine hopes he can get new arrival Sebastian Blanco up to speed in time for Albion's next game with Everton.
Blanco was the Baggies' 11th and final signing of the summer at the weekend, Irvine keeping hold of Craig Dawson and Claudio Yacob as an uneventful transfer deadline day went by at the Hawthorns.
With his squad now complete, the Scot is eager to get to work with his new arrivals on the training ground and says those who have not gone on international duty this week will have a mini pre-season.
Blanco is one of those men who will be involved and Irvine is hoping the 26-year-old will be physically ready to take on Everton in just under two weeks time.
"I'm praying he's in good condition but he's another one who's not had a proper pre-season, so we will assess him this weekend," Irvine said.
"He will be in a group of lads who are going to be doing a mini pre-season next week with a view to being closer to available the following week."
