Baggies agree defender loan exit

Aberdeen have solved their right-back problem by taking West Brom defender Jared Hodgkiss on loan until January.

The 21-year-old recently penned a new two-year deal at the Hawthorns and has been told by Jimmy Calderwood he will be used as cover for now.

Calderwood told the BBC: "It's a position Lee Mair and Stuart Duff can play, but they are better elsewhere.

"Richard Foster has done well there, so I've told Jared he won't come in straight away, but he's in the squad.

"Foster was probably our best player against Ayr in the Co-operative Insurance Cup.

"We are not going to go through a whole season without injuries and the loss of form, so Jared will help us there."
