Baggies bag Dutch ace

West Brom have agreed a deal with AZ Alkmaar to sign Dutch Under-21 defender Ryan Donk on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old defender is on the brink of a full international call-up after serving his time in the Under-21 squad where he helped his country win the European Championship on home soil last summer.

Tony Mowbray moved quickly to strike up a deal with the Dutch club for the tall centre back who has been likened to former Man Utd ace Jaap Stam in his playing style.
