West Brom scouts watched Bologna again on Saturday with right back Gyorgy Garics and midfielder Sliti Taider the most likely targets.
The Baggies were represented at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara in Bologna for the 2-2 draw with Torino, in which former Manchester City striker Rolando Bianchi equalised for the visitors in stoppage time.
West Brom also sent a scout to watch Bologna's 2-0 home defeat to Juventus three weeks ago, leading to speculation that the club are tracking a player from the Rossoblu ranks.
Steve Clarke has asked his scouts to recommend a right-back for next season and Hungarian-born Garics, 29, could be an option.
The former Napoli and Atalanta defender is an Austrian international and played against Shane Long's Republic of Ireland side in last month's World Cup qualifier in Dublin.
He cost Bologna £2.5million from Atalanta three years ago and could be a bargain signing this summer as his contract runs out in June 2014.
Algerian midfielder Taider, 21, is enjoying a fine season in Italy and has attracted interest from Inter.
Scouts from VfB Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund were, alongside Albion, represented at both matches while Liverpool, Bordeaux and Southampton had scouts at Saturday's game too.
