West Brom had a scout at last night's Europa League clash between Anderlecht and AZ as they monitor summer transfer targets.
Boss Roy Hodgson is on the lookout for new blood and may have ordered a report on in-form Anderlecht midfielder Sacha Kljestan.
The 26-year-old is in his second season with the Belgian champions and has been a virtual ever-present as the Brussels club have surged back to the summit.
The US international was, however, on the losing side last night as a goal from ex-Anderlecht midfielder Maarten Martens gave AZ a 1-0 win on the night and a 2-0 aggregate victory.
AZ striker Charlison Benschop, 22, and attacking left-back Simon Poulsen, 27, could also have been under consideration.
Poulsen, a Danish international, is out of contract at the end of the season and was watched by Aston Villa earlier this season.
Scouts from Liverpool, Fulham, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, SV Hamburg, Heerenveen, Lille, Genoa, Malaga, Valenciennes and Wolfsburg were also at the game - according to Het Niewsblad.
