West Brom are holding talks with Dynamo Kiev in a bid to capture Goran Popov on a permanent basis.
Popov impressed during a loan stint with the Baggies last season despite injuries limiting his chances at the Hawthorns.
The left-back is keen to make the switch permanent but as yet Albion have been unable to reach an agreement with Dynamo.
The 28-year-old has two years left on his current deal and the Baggies remain hopeful that they will be able to agree a reasonable fee with the Ukrainian outfit.
Popov's first choice is to secure a permanent move to West Brom, but the defender's agent claims there are other interested parties should a deal fall through.
Alen Augustincic told the Birmingham Mail: "Goran was and is very happy in England and especially at West Bromwich Albion.
"He feels well and at home there, although he did have some bad luck with injuries during last season.
"We are in concrete and good talks with West Bromwich Albion and some other clubs are also interested.
"But West Bromwich Albion made it clear that they want to keep him and Goran also made it clear to me that he wants to stay there.
"Now we are in talks with Dynamo Kiev to see how it could work out."
