West Brom are reportedly at the front of the queue to sign Chelsea's out-of-contract Israeli international midfielder Yossi Benayoun.
The former West Ham, Liverpool and Arsenal star appeared set to make a move to play in the American MLS when his Stamford Bridge deal expired at the end of last season.
However, it seems that Benayoun has performed a U-turn and is now looking to stay in Europe with the Baggies, another Premier League club, and teams in Spain and Germany expressing an interest in signing him.
Benayoun's agent Ronen Katzev has confirmed West Brom's interest but insisted that a move to the Hawthorns is not set in stone, while he hopes a decision on the player's future will be clearer in the near future.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Katzev said: "West Brom have registered their interest and now we are just waiting to see what other options are available."
He added: "We have been negotiating with another club in the Premier League and clubs in Germany and Spain, so Yossi will have to make a decision very soon."
