Baggies scout spotted at Porto match

West Brom could be back in for Laurent Depoitre after joining Southampton and Man United scouts at Porto's match with Vitoria Setubal.

The Baggies were strongly linked to the Belgian forward last season when he was scoring regularly for Gent but did not follow up their interest.

Depoitre eventually moved to Porto for £5million but the switch has not worked out and he has already been openly talking about playing in England in the future.

The 28-year-old was given a rare run-out off the bench late on in Saturday's 1-1 draw, although that probably would not be enough to show much to the watching scouts.

West Brom have been linked with a number of European-based forwards this season and it could be that Tony Pulis' spy was watching someone else.
