Saido Berahino is aiming to use his loan spell at Brentford to continue his progress towards the West Brom first-team.
The 18-year-old striker has obviously impressed Albion chief Roy Hodgson about his credentials given that he was awarded a new two-and-a-half-year deal at the Hawthorns only last month.
However, the Baggies are keen to get some more regular first-team experience under Berahino's belt following a productive loan spell with League Two strugglers Northampton where he scored six goals in 15 starts.
Berahino is now aiming to prove he can score goals at a higher level with the League One Bees and could make his debut against Carlisle at Griffin Park on Monday evening.
He told the Birmingham Mail: "It's a good opportunity for me, it's a level up from League Two. Hopefully I can carry on what I've done and get the goals for Brentford.
"The boss, Uwe Rosler, has made me feel welcome and he's made it clear that, even though I'm coming here on loan, I've still got to work hard for my position in the team."
