Shane Long is now a major doubt to face Swansea on Saturday after aggravating his ankle injury but Chris Brunt is available.

Baggies head coach Steve Clarke admits that the Republic of Ireland striker is losing his race to be fit for the clash with the Capital One Cup winners after battling through the Chelsea game with the problem last weekend.

But Baggies skipper Brunt has shaken off the ankle problem that saw him miss the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Steven Reid, Claudio Yacob and Jonas Olsson have all recovered from the minor knocks they suffered against Chelsea too.

Clarke will also be able to call on the services of on-loan Romelu Lukaku again after he was ineligible to play against his parent club, Chelsea.

Defender Goran Popov is also available after completing a three-match ban for his sending off against Tottenham.
