Burnley are planning to make an improved third offer for West Brom defender Craig Dawson, who is unsettled at the Hawthorns.
The Clarets have been hot on the heels of the former England Under-21 international since the start of the summer, lodging their first offer in June.
Having been turned down the first time, Burnley tried again last week with a bid believed to be in the region of £1.5million but that was again rejected by Albion.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche has not been put off by West Brom's rejections, though, and is ready to make another offer this week, according to reports.
The Lancashire outfit may have a bit more luck this time with West Brom having improved their defensive options with the signing of Andre Wisdom on loan from Liverpool.
Manager Alan Irvine has previously said he does not want to lose the 24-year-old but with Wisdom having joined, and with more defenders set to arrive before the summer is out, he may be open to letting Dawson leave if the offer is good enough.
