West Brom boss Steve Clarke has heaped praise on midfielder Chris Brunt for his attitude in recent weeks.
Brunt had managed just one brief cameo as a late substitute in the Baggies' opening three league fixtures of the campaign.
The midfield playmaker was restored to the starting line-up for the draw at Fulham on Saturday, and Clarke was delighted with the way Brunt performed after returning to the starting XI.
The Baggies boss believes other players who are struggling for regular action should follow Brunt's example after his impressive display at Craven Cottage.
"Chris has had to be patient," Clarke told the club's official website. "Others will have to be patient at various stages of the season too.
"Chris was unfortunate. He picked up an injury just before we started the season.
"He didn't get in the first three teams but with Chris I know what I'm getting.
"He's a player who understands his role in the team, he does a good job for us in the team.
"His set-play deliveries are important and he did very well on Saturday."
