Long staying focused on Baggies

Shane Long claims he is not thinking about leaving West Brom this month and he is just focused on helping the side pick up victories.

The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international striker has been heavily linked with a move away from the Hawthorns this season after a £6million summer move to Hull City collapsed on deadline day.

Long is set to fall out of contract this summer and he is yet to pen a new deal while Steve Clarke's sacking last month has muddied the waters because he dos not know if the new boss will want to keep him on board.

Despite the uncertainty Long is adamant that he will just keep working hard for interim boss Keith Downing and try to get more points on the board to pull Albion clear of relegation danger.

"At the moment I'm a West Brom player and that's what I'm concentrating on," the Express & Star quotes Long as saying. "There have no offers been put in or accepted so I'm concentrating on training."
