The Baggies have secured the services of on-loan Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku for the rest of the season.

The club have confirmed that the 19-year-old Belgian striker will not be recalled by his parent club until the end of the season.

West Brom head coach Steve Clarke discussed Lukaku with former Chelsea colleague and former assistant boss Eddie Newton, who regularly reports back to the club on loan players, and was confident of keeping him for the entire campaign.

Lukaku has enjoyed a productive first five months, with his seven goals making him the club's current top Premier League scorer.

Chelsea inserted a January recall option in the deal when it was agreed in August but that option expired on Monday, which means Lukaku will complete the campaign with the Baggies.
