Mulumbu likens derby to titan tussle

West Brom midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu has likened the forthcoming derby against Aston Villa to a Champions League tie.

The two clubs meet at the Hawthorns next Monday with the Baggies ahead of their midlands rivals in mid-table only by virtue of scoring one more goal.

"I'm looking forward to this game. I've played in derbies against Wolves and Villa and the atmosphere is unbelievable," he told the club's official website.

"These games are really important to our fans. The fans still talk about these games one month after.

"I didn't know how fierce the rivalry was when I first came to Albion but I do now.

"It's a really interesting game and a huge deal - like a Champions League game."
