Spanish ace set for Baggies PL bow

West BromTony Mowbray has hinted that new signing Borja Valero could make his Premier League debut for West Brom at Bolton on Saturday.

The Baggies boss pitched the Spanish playmaker straight into the first team in Tuesday's shock Carling Cup defeat at League One Hartlepool and feels he is now ready for a Premier League debut following his rough introduction to English football at Victoria Park.

On the prospect of the record signing from Real Mallorca playing against the Trotters, Mowbray told the club's website: "Borja will come into contention for a Premier League start now.

"I'd like to get him in and started if I can.

"It's all about experience and I don't want to be sitting here in a month's time saying he is okay now that he's had a month's training.

"There's no better place than out on the field, which is why Tuesday night was such a good opener for him."

Robert Koren is expected to shake off a knee injury, while striker Roman Bednar has recovered from a kick in the face at Hartlepool and all should feature.

Only knee injury victims Neil Clement and Felipe Teixeira are definitely out of the game against former boss Gary Megson's Wanderers, as Albion bid for their first points of the campaign.
