West Ham target Eidur Gudjohnsen says that if he leaves Barcelona he won't necessarily return to the Premier League.

The European Champions are believed to be willing to let the Icelandic international leave the club this summer due to the abundance of attacking options they have and the Hammers are thought to be one of the front runners to sign him.

However, the former Bolton and Chelsea striker says he hasn't made his mind up about where he will go if he leaves the Nou Camp, and says England won't be his only option.

"Everybody just seems to think if I don't continue at Barcelona then I'll be coming back to England," said Gudjohnsen.

"But England's not the only country that plays football. There are so many options.

"Quite honestly, I don't know where my future lies.

"I said it a couple of days ago that my future is at Barcelona, unless anything changes.

"There's not much I can say, because I don't know myself.

"I need to play, simple as that. I'm a footballer and I love the game of football. I want to play as much as I can."
