Cole stays with Hammers

West Ham have secured the services of striker Carlton Cole after he agreed a new 18-month contract, according to reports.

The frontman rejoined the club back in October on a short-term deal, after originally leaving last June, as the Hammers were desperately short up front.

That deal came to an end after the win at Cardiff last weekend, where Cole netted the winner, and discussions have been ongoing since to try and tie him down to a new contract.

Both QPR and Crystal Palace have been linked with the striker but it would appear he has decided to stay at Upton Park until the summer of 2015 at least.
