Alan Curbishley has resigned as West Ham United manager, according to reports. The former Charlton chief said following the sale of Anton Ferdinand to Sunderland that no other players would be leaving ahead of the window closing on Monday at midnight but McCartney was then subsequently offloaded to the Black Cats for £4.5million.
Former Hammers defender Slaven Bilic has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Curbishley at Upton Park.
