Czech keeper's Hammers claim

West HamShakhtar Donetsk's Czech Republic international goalkeeper Jan Lastuvka claims West Ham are interested in signing him.

The 26-year-old has experience of the Premier League having spent time on loan with Fulham during the 2006-07 campaign. And, following another stint on loan at German side Bochum last term, it seems clear his time in Ukraine with Shakhtar Donetsk is now over.

Lastuvka has revealed that the Hammers are interested in signing him, but claims the two clubs are still wide apart in terms of his valuation.

He said: "The offer from West Ham is there. The club wants me and going back to the English league is definitely interesting.

"Unfortunately, the negotiations have become very complicated on certain matters.

"I will not comment on any figures, but in general we were almost agreed with West Ham when the transfer fee increased all of a sudden.

"Since Monday the discussions have appeared to me very strange and under those conditions I don't rush into anything.

"We have not ended the talks, they still go on, but we cannot delay it much longer."
