Dutch coach Aad de Mos says he would love the chance to manage West Ham one day where he has plenty of contacts.
After a season plagued by injuries current boss Alan Curbishley was happy with what his squad achieved over the course of the campaign as they slowly progressed up the table to eventually secure a top-ten finish.
He is hoping the club can press on next season and start climbing higher up the table and so it looks as though, for the time being at least De Mos will have to wait for his chance.
The 61-year-old tactician recently left Vitesse Arnhem after falling out with the club's board and while he says he will not be rushed into a new job, he would love to take charge at Upton Park before he retires.
"It's a club I'd love the chance to manage one day," said the former Ajax and PSV Eindhoven chief said. "If an opportunity ever arose it would be very difficult to turn down."
De Mos still has contacts at the London outfit which were forged as his former club, Mechelen, and West Ham agreed a link up in 2000.
Meanwhile, Vitesse have yet to decide on who will succeed De Mos but Volendam coach Stanley Menzo looks to be a strong favourite.
