Guy Demel and Ricardo Vaz Te have both come through a friendly game against Spurs on Thursday as they close in on a return to action.
The pair both featured in a Hammers XI for an hour as they try to build up their fitness following recent injury lay-offs.
Vaz Te suffered a dislocated shoulder in October, while Demel has been sidelined with a severe concussion picked up in the Premier League victory at Cardiff earlier this month.
They both came through the behind-close-doors game, which Spurs won 3-0 and arranged because neither London side has a game in the FA Cup this weekend, and they could now feature against Manchester City on Wednesday.
First team coach Ian Hendon said: "Guy and Vaz got an important hour under their belts on Thursday. The main thing was that they came through unscathed.
"We've got a 16-game season and it's going to be massive to have extra bodies back. The more we have fit and ready to go the easier it'll be. February is going to be a massive month with the games against teams in and around us."
