Sam Allardyce is still looking to add a striker to his squad with Udinese's Matej Vydra and former Chelsea star Salomon Kalou linked.
The Hammers boss needs a foil for record signing Andy Carroll and he would dearly love to add former Chelsea ace Kalou to his squad but the chances of landing him on loan look to be waning, so he is being tipped to turn his attentions back to Vydra.
The Czech Republic international has returned to Udinese after a successful year on loan at Watford, where he netted 22 goals, but he would like to return to play Premier League football and his agent is actively trying to land him a club in England.
Allardyce does appear to face a battle for his services though, as Premier League rivals Swansea and West Brom have also been tracking the 21-year-old.
