Ferdinand coy on interest

West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand says he is unaware of interest from Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Newcastle.

Ferdinand could be a high-profile casualty if Upton Park boss Alan Curbishley decides to ring the changes this summer, although the 23-year-old has claimed he if focused on returning to pre-season training.

"It's just speculation," one-club man Ferdinand told Sky Sports News while on charity work in Africa.

"Until I get back to London I don't know what is going on."

The England international added: "For me personally, until Alan Curbishley says I am not a West Ham player, then I will be a West Ham player. I love playing for the club."
