Green vows to make amends

West HamWest Ham goalkeeper Robert Green has vowed to make amends for his howlers against Bolton which saw them slip to a 3-1 defeat.

The keeper has been called into the England squad by Fabio Capello but he put in arguably his worst performance for the Hammers at the weekend and has vowed to make amends in West Ham's next match which is away to Hull in two weeks time.

"It's just disappointing and being responsible for the start of the downfall really, that's the biggest disappointment. But it's done. I've made mistakes in the past and I'm sure I'll probably make a few in the future as well," he said.

"So I'll just get on and work hard and put the wrongs right and I'll be twice as determined to get things right in two weeks' time."

In the meantime Green could find himself in between the posts for England after being added to the squad along with David James, who has been erratic this season, and Scott Carson.
