West Ham powerhouse Mohamed Diame insists the side are full of confidence ahead of their clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

The Hammers did not have a match at the weekend due to the FA Cup quarter-finals, but they are keen to play again after ending their poor run last time out.

The win at Stoke ended a run which had seen them lose eight out of nine games and Diame believes they have put it behind them and he is now looking ahead to playing Chelsea.

He told the club's website: "It's about confidence, it's 11 against 11 on the pitch whether we're at home or away.

"I don't know why we haven't got better results when we've played away this season, so winning at Stoke gives us belief and that's important. Now we can look forward to the Chelsea game."
