West Ham have signed Egyptian frontman Mido and agreed terms with Brazilian striker Elan, both join Benni McCarthy at the club.
The Rovers striker joined the club earlier in the day and now boss Gianfranco Zola has added both Mido and Elan to his squad to ease his striker problems at West Ham.
Middlesbrough striker Mido claims he wants to prove he can make it in English football and there were reports he was ready to sign for as little as £1,000 a week in order to prove himself, he officially joins from Boro on loan.
The capture of Elan, who is out of contract over the summer, is a big coup for the club and it is believed that the French strugglers St Etienne are willing to let him leave for a nominal fee. Personal terms have been agreed and it is now just a question of putting pen to paper.
