West Ham are in a battle with Everton for the services of Ivory Coast forward Kader Keita who is currently at Lyon.
The 27-year-old has been at Lyon for two years following an £11m move from Lille but he has failed to live up to his price tag and they are now ready to cut their losses and let him move on.
Roma have shown interest, while Everton and West Ham have been in touch with his agent, according to respected French newspaper L'Equipe.
The Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola has his summer targets and Keita's ability to play on either wing as well as an out and out striker could be a reason for him to make an offer for the international.
