West Ham are closing in on a move for Blackburn's former England keeper Paul Robinson as Sam Allardyce looks to add to his squad.
The Hammers boss is seeking reinforcements as the side slip towards the relegation places in the Premier League, with defeat to Fulham on Wednesday leaving them just seven points clear of the drop zone.
Assistant manager Neil McDonald confirmed on Wednesday that they were interested in Robinson and that the Hammers boss was working hard to get some deals done.
He said: "We've obviously worked with him before and know what he is about.
"We will see how it goes. It is just paper talk at the moment but we will see how it develops over the next 24 hours.
"Sam is working very hard behind the scenes. If we can bring anyone else in, that would be great. It would be more competition for places."
