Hammers linked with striker

West Ham are set to make a move for Peterborough's highly-rated striker Jaanai Gordon when the January transfer window opens.

The 17-year-old has just seen his trial with the Hammers extended by another week after he netted a brace for the Under 18s in their win over Aston Villa.

Gordon made his debut for Peterborough at just 16 and has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs but Sam Allardyce is at the front of the queue as he looks to add strikers to his side.

Gordon is in the England Under 19 squad and is considered to be one for the future.

Although Allardyce has a greater need for a ready made striker he may also try and land Gordon when the transfer window re-opens.
