West Ham are reported to be looking to cash in on a fire sale at Man Utd this summer by signing either Wilfried Zaha or Ashley Young.
Manager Sam Allardyce will look to bolster his midfield options during the off-season as he gets set to offload the likes of Ravel Morrison, Jack Collison and Joe Cole.
The future of loanee Antonio Nocerino is also in the balance, and Allardyce is reported to be turning his attention to Old Trafford, with United counterpart David Moyes planning to clear the decks after a difficult season.
Young and Zaha are believed to be two players Moyes would be willing to part with, the Scot having hardly used Zaha before sending him out on loan to Cardiff in January.
The 21-year-old is thought to be keen on a return to London after leaving Crystal Palace last season and was linked with a move to Upton Park in January before moving to Wales.
Allardyce will now weigh up whether he wants Zaha or Young, who is also set to leave having failed to impress Moyes this season.
The Hammers boss may end up opting for the younger Zaha, with Young's wages likely to prove a stumbling block for the Londoners.
