West Ham will have to look elsewhere for a new forward after Salomon Kalou stated he had no interest in leaving Lille.
The Ivory Coast international, who spent six years at Chelsea before moving to Ligue 1 last summer, has been strongly linked with the Hammers and West Brom in recent weeks.
But Kalou says he is happy at Lille and is not looking for a return to the Premier League.
"[Lille manager] Rene Girard is a coach who can help me progress," he told Voix du Nord.
"Under these conditions, I do not see why I should go for something elsewhere."
Lille are thought to be willing to let Kalou go for £2.5million as they want to reduce their wage bill after failing to qualify for the Champions League last season.
