Anderlecht defender Cheikhou Kouyate is closing in on a £7million move to West Ham and has reportedly already passed a medical.
The 24-year-old has been a long-term target for Hammers boss Sam Allardyce and it now appears he has finally got his man, with a deal expected to be confirmed in the next couple of days.
Kouyate is set to put pen to paper on a four-year-deal at Upton Park and is set to join striker Mauro Zarate to become Allardyce's second major summer capture.
Kouyate, who operates at centre-half, made 47 appearances in all competitions for Anderlecht side last season, helping them win the Belgian Super Cup, and has long been on the radar of Premier League clubs.
He was due in London on Monday to finalise the terms of his move but there are not expected to be any late hitches and the move should be announced this week.
