Alou Diarra is determined to prove he has what it takes to be a hit at West Ham after impressing in pre-season.
Diarra struggled to make an impact at Upton Park last term and made just three Premier League appearances before eventually heading out on loan to French side Rennes.
However, the 32-year-old has been involved over the summer for Sam Allardyce's side on their tour in Germany and hopes he can force his way into the boss' plans when the new campaign gets under way next month.
"I want to fight this season with West Ham," Diarra told the club's website. "I'll give 100 per cent in training and I'll wait for my chance.
"I want to give my best for West Ham and we'll see. I'm ready to play in the Premier League now."
He added: "Pre-season has gone well. We work hard every day, and we've only lost one game so it has been a good start for us."
