Striker ponders Hammers future

Last Updated: Tue, 14 Jan 2014 10:26

West Ham striker Carlton Cole is pondering his future with both QPR and Crystal Palace said to be keen on his services.

Cole signed a short-term deal when he returned to the club three months ago but that has now ended and there is no decision as to the possibility of a new contract.

Despite the return of Andy Carroll to the side, manager Sam Allardyce may well want to keep Cole, who netted the winner at Cardiff on Saturday, until the end of the season to ensure he has the firepower to win the battle against the drop.

On the other hand a long-term deal from either Palace or QPR may turn out to be more attractive for the striker.
