Hull and West Ham lead the race to sign Marc-Antoine Fortune because of their financial muscle, according to Celtic's Tony Mowbray.
The AS Nancy striker is set to decide his future over the weekend, but it is the Premiership with either West Ham or Hull who are the favourites according to Mowbray.
The Bhoys boss spoke out claiming there was a 'substantial gap' between what they could offer Fortune in wages and what Celtic can offer.
Some reports suggest the difference could be as much as £10,000 a week so both the Tigers and the Hammers are now clear favourites for the player's signature as they look to add quality frontmen to their squads.
Hull have had a bid of around £3m accepted by Nancy but although West Ham have yet to make an offer it is thought to be a mere formality if the striker picks Upton Park.
