West Ham are in talks with former AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini, according to the player's agent Moreno Roggi.
Ambrosini has been released by the San Siro side after 18 years of service in Serie A but he insists that he is not ready to hang up his boots and retire from professional football.
Roggi confirmed that there has been a lot interest in the former Rossoneri captain, but they have turned down offers from Major League Soccer.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has wasted no time in trying to lure the two-time Champions League winner to sign on the dotted line as he continues to try and develop his squad.
Roggi said: "Obviously Massimo wants to continue.
"His preference would be overseas clubs, but if an offer did come in from an Italian side, we would not ignore it completely.
"At this moment we are in talks with West Ham, while we have already ruled out Major League Soccer."
