Tottenham have been linked with a move for Sunderland misfit Anton Ferdinand, who is also wanted back at West Ham.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is reportedly ready to offer the ex-England under-21 defender an escape route out of Sunderand, where he has spent the majority of the season on the bench.

Ferdinand has been told to be patient by Black Cats boss Steve Bruce but with Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola also keen to bring him back to Upton Park, he could try to force the manager's hand.

But the 24-year-old cost Sunderland £8million in 2008 and Bruce will want to get a fee in the region of his club's outlay.
