Emmerson Boyce says Wigan will use the international break to their advantage and will be working hard on the training ground.

A number of Latics players will be jetting all around the world over the next week but those who remain back in Wigan will be working hard in training to make sure they are ready for the Swansea game.

Boyce felt Wigan were unlucky not to pick up all three points against Everton during Saturday's 2-2 draw but says mistakes were made and they can work to rectify them during the break.

"It's international week now and that means a lot of the lads flying all around the world," Boyce told the Evening Post. "That makes it hard to analyse Saturday's game, but we'll get plenty of work done on the training ground and try to put right what went wrong.

"Overall I thought the performance was very good - we created loads of chances, we scored goals when we needed to and we were so close to what would have been a vital win.

"The positive was that we didn't lose, and we can certainly take heart from much of the performance. We should be able to see out the game for another five minutes, but we couldn't cope.

"At the end of the day, though, Everton are a good team, they grind out results and that was the case again."
