Bruce reveals watching brief

Wigan boss Steve Bruce admits he is facing an anxious 10 days while his internationals are away with their respective countries.

Latics signed off before the break in fixtures with a home defeat to Middlesbrough and Bruce will monitor every available source to find out how his absent players fare.

"With the international break, I won't see a lot of our players until a week on Thursday," he told the Evening Post.

"I'll find myself sat in front of the television, watching Teletext, listening to the radio, to make sure everyone comes through okay."
