Aberdeen boss Craig Brown has played down rumours linking want-away winger Ryan Fraser with a move to Wigan.

Latics have already swoop on Aberdeen to sign Fraser Fyvie and now reports suggest they could return to Pittodrie to try and sign young winger Fraser, who has so far refused to sign a new deal with the Dons.

Rangers have also been heavily linked with the 18-year-old and Brown now faces a dilemma, sell in January or risk losing him on the cheap when he is out of contract in the summer.

"Far too many players are lost for minimal fees and Fifa needs to look at a fairer system," he revealed. "Top teams in England get more than £60million in television revenue.

"When there is that kind of money going around it is easy for them to come up here and take a chance on a young boy for a small amount of money. It is a cheap option for these clubs.

"Unless it is fairer then there is hardly a point in developing these boys."
