Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers says Saturday's trip to Wigan is massive and is a game they cannot afford to lose.
The Swans travel to the DW Stadium on the back of successive defeats against Norwich and Stoke and Rodgers says it is crucial they stop the rot this weekend or risk getting sucked into a relegation battle.
Wigan are rooted in the relegation zone and see this weekend's fixture as a must-win game. Three points could take Wigan out of the bottom three and at the same time close the gap on Swansea and Rodgers is keen to make sure that does not happen.
Swansea would appear have a comfortable gap but another defeat could set the alarm bells ringing.
"There are only 12 games left now and I'm sure Wigan will have a big motivation," Rodgers told thisissouthwales. "It's massive for them, but it's massive for us as well. Every game is a big one for us from now on, even though we are ten points clear of Wigan at the moment.
"When you play a rival who is down there, you want to keep that distance between you in terms of points. Whichever way you look at it, Saturday is a big game."
