Latics tipped with striker swoop

WiganWigan are believed to be lining up a late bid to sign Serbian striker Nikola Zigic, who wants a move to a Premier League club.

The giant striker is expected to leave Valencia either over the next few days or in January's transfer window, with Wigan the latest club linked with a move for his services.

Premier League new boys Stoke held talks the Serbian international earlier this summer but Potters boss Tony Pulis says that deal is now dead, leaving the path clear for other interested parties.

The 27-year-old's agent, Milan Calasan, says the striker is not interested in a move to anywhere else but England and claims his client is considering the offers on the table.

Calasan told Sky Sports: "He is calm and now we need to evaluate the options and decide which is the best club."
